Improved meals and care
Starting from January 1, 2025, the food allowance for adult inmates will be NTD$2,300 per person per month, and the food allowance for minor inmates will be NTD$3,900 per person per month.
The detainees' main and supplemental meals are given in specific quantity as stipulated by regulations. If processing facilities result in profit, a percentage of it is allocated to supplement meal budget and to form a meal improvement team that meets regularly every month. Additional dishes are provided during year-end and holidays. The meal design takes into consideration both sanitation and nutrition to maintain the health of the detainees.
